Costliest procedure: The mammogram. The Big Apple has the 6th most expensive average price ($371) for this procedure out of the 30 cities analyzed.
Curious fact: New York has the widest price range for a lipid panel by far. A resident could pay anywhere from $14 to $1,070 for the same test – that’s a whopping 76x difference!
