Our team is seeking a Client Insights Associate who will be responsible for empowering our internal teams with clear, up-to-date insights to help our customers with data-driven decision-making.

This role is designed to help answer the ‘so what’ type of questions that emerge from Castlight’s broad spectrum of medical cost and behavioral-related data (think wearables and other digital health applications).

The Insights Associate in this role will help define our strategy to help our customers better understand the impact of our products on employee behaviors, health, and medical cost, which will in turn help them make optimal decisions that lead to true value.

This position will require both customer-facing and analytics skills. This team member will work directly with customers as well as be a liaison with our internal analytics team and Product team to ensure that we build a tight feedback loop.

About the Team
The Client Strategies and Incentives team has a wide scope of work and is responsible for enabling our CX and Sales teams with insights to support each customer and prospect.

On a daily basis, you will work cross-functionally and take a proactive approach to uncover key themes, findings and actionable recommendations for our clients.

In this role you will be on the cutting edge of health and wellness-related analytics. As a platform in the healthcare benefits space, Castlight gathers data from each of its partners in numerous categories, including: activity, sleep, nutrition, biometrics, health risk assessment, brain health, pregnancy, weight management, healthcare claims fitness trackers, and more.

This creates the opportunity to aggregate data and deliver insights across health data types that no other health space player has. This role will report directly to the Manager of Client Strategies and Incentives

Business Role and Responsibilities

  • Empower internal teams with clear, up to date insights including updated Value Fundamentals reporting, in partnership with PMM and analytics
  • Participate in co-innovation sessions with customers and bring feedback to product
  • Partner and consult with several internal CX teams including Engagement Strategy and Customer Success
  • Proactively dig into data daily to uncover themes and opportunities for our current customers to optimize their value with Castlight
  • Work closely with the Performance Management Associates to help with customer facing materials

Technical Role and Data Tools
Demonstrated proficiency in multiple of the below areas is preferred, the rest will be learned

  • Strong excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, graphs, data simulations
  • Ability to validate the quality of analytics data sources
  • Create customer-facing reports and dashboards (Tableau Desktop)
  • Publish reports/data sources on Tableau Server
  • Perform statistical analysis
  • Technical toolkit: Tableau, Excel

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years work experience in healthcare or related vertical, in data-centric role
  • Experience working with tableau required
  • Humble, hungry, and smart. A natural sense of curiosity, and an effective problem solver
  • Self-sufficient, ready to roll up your sleeves, and not afraid of ambiguity
  • Strong communication skills, able to communicate effectively across a wide range of audiences
  • Able to balance requests and manage expectations between multiple stakeholders, including external stakeholders
  • BA or BS or equivalent experience
