What you’ll do:

The Compensation and Benefits Analyst will be a key member of the Rewards and Operations team.  Reporting to the Director of Total Rewards and People Operations, this role will manage Castlight’s benefits portfolio and be a trusted compensation partner to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition and Business Leaders. Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Assist in the development, execution and communication key benefit and compensation programs, as well as facilitate focal review cycles
  • Ensure our programs are market-competitive, aligned with our business goals and in compliance with company policies and relevant government regulations
  • Provide expertise and guidance on pay decisions (new hire, promotion, or adjustments), benefit policy interpretations and job leveling
  • Oversee the compensation and benefits administration process, including the planning and implementation of annual compensation and promotion cycle, creating job families, and reviewing job matching, FLSA classification, annual benefits plan strategy and design, and open enrollment
  • Monitor compensation, benefits and legislative trends in the competitive market and ensure our total rewards portfolio attracts, retains, and rewards high performers and key talent
  • Manage all reward-related survey submissions

What you’ll bring to Castlight:

  • At least two (2) years’ experience managing benefit programs and vendors/consultants
  • At least two (2) years’ of broad-based compensation experience, including job and compensation architecture design and administration
  • Demonstrated experience in compensation analysis, trends, and compensation best practices
  • Strong consulting, communication, and presentation skills
  • Deep analytical, pragmatic, and adaptable mindset, with the ability to evaluate complex data and make recommendations
  • Knack for forming productive working relationships in a matrixed organization to define and deliver effective processes, data and programs that support the business goals
  • Experience managing benefit programs and vendors/consultants
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Positive attitude and comfort with ambiguity
  • Research and resolve errors with a sense of urgency, conducting root cause analysis to ensure that issue is contained and corrected
  • Bias toward action, with a can-do approach to shifting priorities in a constantly changing environment
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications
  • BA/BS in a related field from an accredited college or university

Nice to have but not deal-breakers:

  • Experience in managing benefits in Workday
  • International compensation and benefits experience
