Member Engagement & Communications Manager

Castlight’s products are designed to help our users better navigate their health and benefit decisions.  The Member Engagement & Communications team leads our customer communications to drive  engagement in our products and features, ensuring that decisions are guided by consumer best practices, data and thoughtful marketing.

This will be a key role to ensuring engagement in Castlight now and for years to come. He/she will partner with Implementation managers, Customer Success, content and channel experts, design/UX and product analytics to achieve this critical business goal.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop overarching engagement and communication strategies and frameworks for outreach to our users
  • Leverage and extract data in partnership with Data & Analytics to assess the performance of current offerings, set ongoing engagement goals and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of our engagement / marketing tactics
  • Create innovative, consumer-driven strategies and tactics (e.g., email, text, print) including those that can be executed by our B2B/employer partners to drive registration and engagement
  • Translate Castlight’s value proposition to employers and users into measurable goals and targets that Castlight product teams can understand and manage to outcomes
  • Understand our products and engagement tactics to make recommendations on how we can improve conversion
  • Deliver insights and recommendations to product and user engagement / marketing teams based on prior experience / consumer best practice
  • Serve as an engagement expert and thought partner within Castlight as well as with our external partners, vendors and customers
  • The role is 40% hands-on engagement strategy, planning and solutioning in partnership with internal teams, 40% stakeholder/cross-functional leadership, influencing and collaboration, 20% individual execution

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years’ experience in B2C or B2B2C product marketing including proven success in driving engagement, user marketing and product strategies
  • Experience marketing and driving engagement in world-class B2B2C / consumer products
  • Experience working with health plans and national and global benefits offerings helpful but not required
  • Experience in the health care industry, SaaS or B2B2C products or related experience helpful but not required
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • “High-horsepower” thinker – “High Execution” doer
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills and ability to generate strong external and internal relationships
  • Proven ability to run complex processes, navigate organizations, and lead meetings effectively and efficiently
  • Accountable, proactive and thoughtful with high attention to detail and strategic problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10%
  • BS/BA required (related fields include healthcare, communications, marketing), graduate degree strongly preferred
