Manager, Talent Acquisition (remote)

The Castlight team is growing, and we are looking for an exceptional recruiting manager to join our team!  As the Talent Acquisition Manager you will lead a team of 5+ talent acquisition professionals distributed across in remote locations, including recruiters, sourcers, and coordinators, supporting all of the hiring needs for Castlight Health.  As TA Manager, you will be a trusted partner to the business in helping to drive effective and innovative recruitment strategies to support the company’s increasing hiring needs.

This is a highly visible and critical role to the organization, that Recruiting experience, keeping abreast of current market conditions, strong relationship building, effective team leadership, and overall business savvy will be the main keys to success. 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Hiring Partner:

  • Develop strong and trusted partnerships with business managers and senior leaders, and HR Business Partners
  • Responsible for all aspects of the candidate attraction strategy for the organization
  • Manage flexible resourcing for the TA team, including forward-looking strategies, as well as quickly adaptive strategies, needed to support ongoing and changing hiring needs for the organization
  • Consult with business leaders and HR partners regarding workforce planning strategies including forecasting staffing needs and addressing talent gaps
  • Partner closely with process stakeholders for interviews, TA systems, onboarding, etc., to ensure we are removing obstacles and creating a sense of shared accountability between our teams
  • Regularly report out on progress, raise areas of concern, and work through creative solutions with our business leaders
  • Work closely with Head of Talent Acquisition on senior leadership, business critical, and executive roles, personally managing some of these key searches and business relationships

Lead a High-Performing Recruiting Team:

  • Lead, develop, and coach your team, driving a high performance, including actively fostering and mentoring their career and skills growth
  • Coach the team to become trusted talent advisors to the business groups they support
  • Conduct regular team meetings and 1:1s with your team to closely understand their activity and to help remove barriers to success
  • Ensure your team clearly understand their objectives and how those tie into the larger strategy during regular check-ins and performance reviews
  • Analyze recruiting and business data, understanding key metrics to continually strive for improvement and excellence, and to set measurable goals to which you and your team will be accountable

Talent Acquisition SME:

  • Develop and lead creative sourcing strategies, which may include deep research into specific skills and/or competitive market landscape
  • Develop and lead strategy for hiring candidates from Diverse backgrounds and experience, ensuring we have an inclusive process throughout the hiring lifecycle
  • Oversee the recruiting processes for creating talent pipelines, referral networks, and specific tools and resources to identify passive candidates
  • Provide guidance to team on how to recruiting best practices, including sourcing, interviewing, screening, and other necessary processes, including creative approaches for difficult to fill roles
  • Stay on top of internal, market, and competitor trends, including areas such as compensation, benefits, and turnover
  • Ensures that recruiting and hiring activities are following all local, state, and federal regulations and policies, and that integrity is at the heart of everything we do
  • Build a talent ecosystem strategy, including working closely with business partners in location strategy, level of experience in hiring, and developing a robust intern program to focus on hiring the next generation of talent
  • Ensure the right tools and processes are in place for the recruiting team to be successful, both in meeting their hiring goals, and in creating the best possible experience for hiring managers, interviewers, and candidates

Qualifications Required:

  • 8+ years of demonstrated success in a progressive, high-volume hiring environment with minimum 2+ years of team leadership experience
  • Experience as a recruiter or recruiting manager in a fast-paced technology environment is preferred
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, job boards, and other TA-focused technologies
  • Must possess solid written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal capabilities, and strong presentation experience
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, manage multiple deadlines, oversee projects, influence without authority, and drive actions necessary for desired results
  • Excellent people management/leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor and develop team members of all experience levels, including in a remote environment
  • Experience developing teams to be highly effective/ highly engaged brand ambassadors
  • Strong ability to analyze recruiting data to glean key insights on current TA performance and communicate long term trends in our industry
  • Strong executive presence, combined with excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fluid and dynamic work environment
  • Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Undergraduate degree desired
