
Giovanni Colella, M.D.
President, CEO, and Co-Founder
Giovanni Colella co-founded Castlight in 2008, along with Todd Park (currently CTO of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services) and Bryan Roberts of Venrock.
Prior to co-founding Castlight, Giovanni was Founder, President and CEO of RelayHealth, which was acquired by McKesson. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Giovanni graduated with an M.D. from the Universita Degli Studi di Milano in Italy, did his fellowship in Public Health at Columbia University, and earned his M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Naomi Allen
Vice President, Sales & Services
Naomi leads Castlight’s sales, customer and partner account implementation and services, and user support.
Naomi joined Castlight from McKinsey & Company, where she was a leader in the health care and business technology practices and focused on serving payers, providers, and technology companies on health care and strategy issues. Prior to McKinsey, Naomi worked in product planning at Microsoft. She also worked for several years in Deloitte Consulting’s health care and technology practices. Naomi has an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Dena Bravata, M.D., M.S.
Chief Medical Officer
Dena leads Castlight Health’s work to present cost, quality, and educational material for health care services in a clinically-responsible and user-friendly way. Dena brings a unique combination of clinical and analytic expertise to her role at Castlight.
Prior to joining Castlight, Dena was a practicing internist—for nearly a decade in her own private practice in San Francisco and prior to that as an attending physician at Stanford University and the Palo Alto VA. As a senior research scientist in Stanford’s Center for Primary Care and Outcomes Research, Dena has published widely on clinical effectiveness and public health (especially topics related to obesity treatment and prevention). She is a nationally-recognized expert in health services research. Dena has an undergraduate degree from Yale University, an M.D. degree from Columbia University, and an M.S. in Health Policy from Stanford University.

Saravanan Chettiar
Vice President, Finance
Saravanan is responsible for managing Castlight’s financials, legal affairs, and processes and policies.
Prior to joining Castlight, Saravanan held managerial roles at Salesforce.com in corporate planning, reporting, and operations. He has also held roles in public accounting, internal audit, equity research, and business analytics. Saravanan has an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and an undergraduate degree in accountancy from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

Peter Isaacson
Chief Marketing Officer
Peter is Castlight’s Chief Marketing Officer and oversees overall marketing strategy and execution for the company.
He has over 25 years of experience in both enterprise and direct-to-consumer marketing, spanning packaged goods to technology industries. Most recently, Peter served as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at MicroStrategy, where he drove marketing strategy across big data, mobile, cloud, and social business initiatives. Peter has also held senior marketing positions at Adobe Systems. During his 13-year tenure, Adobe’s revenue grew nearly fivefold. Peter got his start in advertising, working at Saatchi and Saatchi, as well as Ammirati Puris Lintas. During that time, he led accounts for major consumer brands as Tide, Ivory, Mentadent and Compaq. Peter holds a B.S. Degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Ethan Prater
Vice President, Products
Ethan leads Castlight’s product management and product marketing areas.
Ethan joined Castlight after serving in various product and marketing leadership positions at Yahoo, IGN Entertainment, DoubleClick, and Jigsaw. As Jigsaw’s VP of Product Marketing, he oversaw the market introduction and growth of the leading consumer-contributed directory of company and contact information. Ethan holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in German Literature from Yale University.

Naveen Saxena
Chief Technology Officer
Naveen’s background spans 20+ years in the areas of fault-tolerant computing, distributed systems and mission critical internet applications for software, healthcare, telecom and financial services companies. Most recently Naveen was the founder and CTO of Trackle, a consumer Internet company. His prior roles include CTO and SVP of iMetrikus, an e-health company, and SVP of Engineering of the $300M messaging business unit of a value-added telecom company called Premiere Global. Naveen has also been in senior engineering roles at Healtheon, Cisco, Fidelity Investments and IBM. He holds a B.Tech from IIT Delhi and an MS in Computer Science from West Virginia University.

Nita Sommers
Vice President, Strategy & Business Development
Nita is responsible for Castlight’s strategic vision and business development, including sales, strategic partnerships, and corporate development.
Nita joined Castlight from McKinsey & Company’s health care practice, where she focused on serving providers and health systems. Prior to McKinsey, she worked for several years in the health IT and services sector at Athenahealth and later at McKesson. Her functional background includes corporate strategy, M&A, new business development, product management, and product engineering. Nita has an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from Harvard University.

Randy Womack
Chief Operating Officer
Randy has a strong track record in managing Internet and software companies. Most recently, he was CIO and VP of Operations for SuccessFactors, a customer-focused business execution software company with more than eight million users and 3,000 customers across 168 countries. He first began working with SuccessFactors as an early stage startup while a partner in the Fast Forward Group at Greylock Partners. Prior to Greylock, he served as CIO at Digital River, an e-commerce ASP with more than 6,000 online stores, where he helped lead the company to a successful IPO. Randy’s previous experience includes Xerox, Oracle, Artificial Linguistics and Dell Computer.
