Senior Manager, Product & Engineering Operations

Castlight is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Product & Engineering Operations to join our R&D Operations team. This role will work closely with the Product and Engineering organizations to help impactful products be built efficiently and effectively, drive collaboration around the product within R&D and relevant stakeholders, and drive improvements to the teams’ operations and key processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the core operational processes of the Product and Engineering teams
  • Partner with R&D leadership to define the annual product roadmap and manage processes to keep the roadmap current and relevant teams informed
  • Manage the product development lifecycle, including quarterly roadmap planning 
  • Support Product and Engineering teams in executing our product strategy and driving complex cross-functional initiatives
  • Take a data-driven approach to product planning and track success of new product features by measuring against KPIs and report progress to executive leadership team
  • Define a framework to enable the prioritization of product roadmap objectives and projects across a number of product teams
  • Implement a robust experimentation and rollout strategy for product/feature launches
  • Identify improvements to how teams operate cross-functionally; design robust and nimble processes to increase efficiency
  • Evaluate and select a product roadmapping tool; manage the implementation of the tool
  • Become a trusted partner for our Product and Engineering teams
  • Lead and develop the Product Operations team

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in product operations, program management, product management, or other relevant, transferrable role
  • Experience working in high-performing product teams, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration, experimentation, and outcomes over output
  • Prior experience rolling out complex products and process changes to internal teams
  • Ability to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and program management skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Knowledgeable in Mixpanel and Tableau
  • Demonstrated understanding of Scaled Agile or similar framework
  • Advanced JIRA and Confluence knowledge
  • Experience with a digital health organization is strongly preferred
  • High-growth startup experience is preferred
